RDS Driving School – Policies

 

Lesson Bookings

    •    All lessons must be booked in advance via phone, email, or the booking system.

    •    Students must provide at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

 

Payments

    •    Payments can be made by bank transfer, cash, or card (where available).

    •    Block bookings must be paid in full before the first lesson.

 

Cancellations & Refunds

    •    Less than 48 hours’ notice will result in the full lesson fee being charged.

    •    Refunds are only issued in exceptional circumstances and at the school’s discretion.

 

Punctuality

    •    Instructors will wait up to 15 minutes if a student is late. After that, the lesson may be forfeited and charged in full.

    •    If the instructor is delayed, the student will be notified, and the time will be made up where possible.

 

Driving Tests

    •    Use of the instructor’s car for a driving test is subject to the instructor’s approval.

    •    A mock test may be required before confirming test-day car hire.

 

Safety & Conduct

    •    Students must hold a valid provisional driving licence.

    •    Lessons will not take place if the student is unfit due to alcohol, drugs, or other reasons.

    •    Abusive or unsafe behaviour will not be tolerated.

 

Insurance & Liability

    •    All tuition vehicles are fully insured for tuition and driving tests.

    •    RDS Driving School cannot be held responsible for test cancellations by the DVSA.

📑 RDS Driving School – Terms & Conditions

    1.    Agreement: By booking lessons, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

    2.    Eligibility: Students must be at least 17 years old and hold a valid provisional licence.

    3.    Payments: All payments must be made in advance or at the start of the lesson.

    4.    Cancellations: A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required, otherwise the full lesson fee will be charged.

    5.    Instructor Rights: The instructor reserves the right to refuse lessons if the student is unfit or unsafe to drive.

    6.    Test Bookings: Students are responsible for booking their own driving test unless otherwise agreed.

    7.    Car Use for Test: The instructor reserves the right to refuse use of the car for a driving test if the student is not ready.

    8.    Insurance: Tuition vehicles are insured for tuition and DVSA tests only.

    9.    Liability: RDS Driving School is not liable for any driving offences or accidents outside lesson time.

    10.    Complaints: Any complaints should be raised directly with RDS Driving School in writing within 7 days.
